Passing over
My aunt passed away two days ago. She was unwell for quite some time and she was cared for beautifully by her family with much love and care.
It is hard to know what is next, both for those who have passed and those left behind and so, whilst I am no expert on this, I thought I would share two experiences I’ve had that may help anyone in a similar situation.
I’m not a medium
Firstly, I should qualify this by saying I am not a medium, so I do not talk to those who have passed over. However, I do read the Akashic Records, and very occasionally I can receive information that is passed to me through the Records that has come from a loved one.
However that is not what I wanted to talk about. Today I wanted to share two experiences with you that I’ve had that helped me to feel better about the process of someone transitioning to the other side. Both experiences came through meditations and have left a lasting impression on me.
The Tarot Card
The first experience was when I was learning to read the Tarot and we were provided with meditations for each of the Major Arcana in the Tarot. The Major Arcana focus on life lessons and major events. The particular card I was focusing on in this session was the Death card. I was a little trepidatious as I wasn’t sure what to expect (and this was years ago, well before I even knew about the Akashic Records), however it was one of the most beautiful meditations and every detail has stayed with me years later.
In the meditation we were asked to step into the card, so that we were experiencing what the card was all about. The Death card (in this case a skeleton in a suit of armour) shows Death sitting on a white horse and carrying a flag of a white flower. Whilst it seems sinister, it’s actually a card representing endings and therefore beginnings. It’s simply saying something is ending in your life which allows a new beginning to come in.
When I entered into the card, I was completely surprised as there was an enormous feeling of love. It was not scary at all. It was incredibly peaceful, joyful and loving. Death (the skeleton in armour) beckoned me closer and told me I need not worry as it was not my time (thank goodness!) but he surrounded me in so much love that I came out of the meditation feeling like death was the most loving thing. Whilst it is a loss for those left behind, it is an extremely loving event for those making the transition.
The Greeting Team
The second meditation that brought this home showed me in a hospital playing crystal bowls. I was in a room with four occupants, one of who was ready to pass over. The curtains were closed around their bed and family members were with the person transitioning. Whilst I couldn’t see the physical family members, I could see the non-physical beings who had come to greet the person transitioning. There were about 30 of them in a horseshoe shape at the end of the bed, all smiling and emanating a great deal of love. They were patiently waiting but also eager to reunite with the person, to surround them with love, welcome them with open arms and help them on their journey. It brought home to me that we are never alone when we transition. It is a reunion with souls we know and we are met and greeted with a great deal of love.
A different view on death
I have not experienced the heartbreaking loss that some have, or the overwhelming grief that goes with those who have passed too early or in tragic ways. I recognise that each persons experience is different and unique to them and I cannot even begin to understand what that feels like.
What my meditations have given me though, is a different view on death, one that feels less jarring and far more loving, and so I share that with you today in the hope that it helps you in some small way, whatever your experience.
With love in my heart
